Taking into account the current crisis situation and the phenomenon of globalisation, the main
effect of which on the cultural level is to create homogeneity of thought, as well as the need
to consolidate regional and local identities, I consider that the main activity to which I must
dedicate myself, as member of the Executive Committee, is to encourage the National
Committees in their work to protect monuments and tangible and intangible cultural
goods, in particular in those countries where this effort is incipient.
On the other hand, the promotion of scientific works and
their publication, by the Executive Committee, will allow to further consolidate this identity and
to support heritage conservation as well as strengthen the National Committees and to raise
their standing in society.
Dada la situación actual de crisis y la globalización, cuyo efecto principal, en el plano de la cultura, es el pensamiento único, así como la necesidad de consolidar las identidades regionales y locales, considero que la principal actividad a la que debo dedicarme, como miembro del Comité ejecutivo, es al respaldo a los Comités Nacionales para la protección de los Monumentos y Bienes Patrimoniales tangibles e intangibles, especialmente en aquellos países en que este trabajo es incipiente.
Por otra parte, la promoción del trabajo científico y su publicación, desde el Comité Ejecutivo, permitiría consolidar aún más esta identidad y apoyar la conservación patrimonial, al mismo tiempo que permite consolidar al Comité Nacional y valorizarle ante la sociedad.
